You are cordially invited to our 12th annual CCANH Banquet and Fundraiser on Saturday, March 27, 2010. The event includes live and silent auctions, a catered dinner, and the recognition of two extraordinary individuals: Peter Wellenberger of the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve will be honored as CCA NH’s Conservationist of the Year and Ellen McCaleb, a world renowned fish carver from Barrington, NH, will receive the Artist of the Year award.
The auctions will include fishing equipment, tackle, fly collections, apparel, fine arts and hand crafts, house wares, gift certificates, and loads of other goodies. If you might like to provide a donation of any kind, please contact Christian Stallkamp at christianstallkamp@yahoo.com. We also need pictures of you enjoying you favorite coastal activities to include in our slide show at the banquet. These can be sent to Jeff Barnum at jjbarnum@comcast.net.
All of the money raised at this event, which is our only major fundraiser, will be used to support our ongoing marine conservation projects, dam removal, outreach, education, and advocacy. Opportunities to participate in CCANH events will be offered at the banquet, as well as information on some of our recent activities and achievements.
The banquet will be held at the Great Bay Gallery in Somersworth, NH. Directions to the Gallery: Route 16 N (Spaulding Turnpike) to Exit 9 and bear right. Take a left at the light onto Route 108. (Comfort Inn will be on the left) Follow Route 108 for 1 mile to Willand Drive on your right. Turn right onto Willand Drive, between Aquarius Pools and Hilltop Fun Center, and Great Bay Gallery is 0.2 miles on the right. While many banquet buffets border on mediocre quality, this place is a real surprise. Some CCANH board members tried it out and thought it was superb!
This year’s change in venue has allowed us to reduce prices. Tickets include a one year membership in CCA NH: $55 per single and $100 a couple. Please register as soon as possible with Don Swanson at 603 731 2669, so that we may provide our caterers with an accurate count . Tickets will not be available at the door. The cash bar, social hour, and auction item viewing will commence at 5pm and the program starts at 6:30.
